Grade of Membership

Honorary Fellow (HFISE)

Honorary Fellows Member may be conferred by the Institution on persons in India and abroad for their high eminence in Safety Engineering or the sciences or who have contributed to the industrial advancement or development of Safety Engineering Profession. All such conferment shall be by invitation and shall be announced at the next Annual General Meeting of the Institution. The number of the Honorary Life Fellows shall not be more than fifty at any time.

Fellow Member (FMISE)

The Fellowship shall be the highest professional honour that the Institution can bestow on members and it shall be conferred according to regulations approved by Institute Council. Fellow shall be a person who:

  • is not less than 35 years of age
  • Had been a Chartered Member for not less than five years or is eligible for Membership for this period.

Chartered Member (CMISE)

The Chartered Member shall be the best professional membership of the Institution can confer on members and it shall be conferred according to regulations approved by Institute Council.

A ‘Charter Member’ shall be a person who:

  • age should be 30 years
  • 3 years as Member of the Institute

Member (MISE)

A ‘Member’ shall be a person who:

  • age should be 23 years
  • 2 years as Associate Member of the Institute

Associate Member (AMISE)

A ‘Member’ shall be a person who:

  • age should be 20 years
  • Completed Graduate Program of the Institute/Diploma or above in Safety

Student Member

A ‘Member’ shall be a person who:

  •     Age should be above 17 years
  •       Any student of the institute

Institutional Membership

Institutional Membership occupies a very significant position. ISE (India) therefore grants this membership after satisfying itself to the credibility of the institution applying for such membership. The Institutional membership is granted after inspection of the institution as to its academic & infrastructure & strength. Any public or local person, registered company or firm or an individual company Govt. department Trade association, they may obtain institutional membership (IM)

Indivisual Member

The Institution of Safety Engineers (India) is the apex professional body of Safety engineers in India.
